Raising a woman strong enough to embrace and critically analyze today’s standards of raising a family, holding a job, work life balance, and perceived outward perfection, can be very challenging. I partnered up with Girls On The Run to publish some tips that have helped me raise a confident and self sufficient woman, my daughter Allie. Follow the link below for blog post:
How have you helped your daughter succeed with self-confidence and personal strength?
Love your post and agree. Having raised my daughter thru a divorce, single parenthood and a re- marriage, I have learned the importance of being able to listen before speaking and spend quality one on one time together. Mother daughter day trips, lunch dates or outing in the park serve as memorable gifts that provide lifetime memories. It is also important to lead by example and extend an apology when appropriate. Young children believe their patents are perfect & later mature and realize this is not true. Those words we learned in kindergarten such as please and thank you also go a long way.
