Homemade Pizza, Reconnect with Healthy Eating

Ingredients:

  • Chicken and Pesto Pizza

    • flat bread or naan bread
    • pesto
    • shredded Italian or mozzarella cheese
    • rotisserie chicken – $5 at Earth Fare, local, hormone and chemical free ** I use the dark meat from the chicken and finely dice it (my family generally only eats the white meat.  This recipe uses the leftovers from my previous recipe post)
    • orange peppers
  • Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza

    • flat bread or naan bread
    • marinara sauce – store bought organic or Home Made Sauce
    • pepperoni – nitrite free, preservative free
    • fresh Mild Italian Sausage – cooked and crumbled
    • shredded Italian or Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions:

  1. Layer flat bread or naan bread with pesto, thin layer to cover within 1 in of the edge
  2. Layer diced chicken
  3. Layer cheese and peppers ( I made one pizza with peppers and one without)

 

  1. Layer flat bread or naan bread with marinara sauce
  2. Layer cheese
  3. Layer sausage and diced pepperoni


Bake on Heated Pizza Stone or Cookie Sheet at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or to desired crispiness
Add side salad or side fruit salad
